Tony Kokshoorn's face is now possibly well recognised throughout New Zealand and has also been flashed across the international screen. In this interview with Jackie Gurden the Grey District Mayor shares his stories on what has been an eventful and tradegic time in recent years.

Include are the construction of the Grey District Aquatic Centre; the loss of the War Memorial Gates and Pillars and relocation to Dixon Park; the pounamu fountain, sculpture and boulders in Greymouth's CBD that celebrate 150 yrs of Westland, the Pike River tragedy and the royal visit by Prince William.
